Welcome to the EOW Hip Hop Marathon! I say this to describe what we do, who we are and why we're privelaged to call ourselves EOW soldiers. I woke extra early last Sunday, I already knew from years past that RSC was going to be at very least, classic. I hit up Bong Senior first thing, then like clock work, vans hitting the blackberry, " P, what the f*ck, I'm coming to your crib" and there it was. Bong rings me back, we're behind schedule and the next thing I know we're carpooling to Newark, off to rock Rock Steadys 31st Anniversary.

The day was a mix of crazy andrenaline and excitment. I tried to create a cohensive layout, but fell short, so here is the worst brain dump, run on sentence filled writing ever, enjoy!
When we got there Sucio Smash was warming the crowd up with some audibe treats. Heads were singing along and hyped to get the show started. The Three Kings obliged and went in with fresstyle, writtens, crowd response and all that, you know how we doEO DUB! We did our part to get the fuse lit, but the RSC line up blew it up! A-OK (slated to rock on the August 28th) includes Fresh Daily, P.Casso and Homeboy Sandman. They crushed it down and repped the new NY scene, I see ya'll building, what up Deep. Then my homie Mazzy went in a did the S.O.U.L. Puropose thing, complete with dancing and all that, the home crowd was feeling it. Q-Unique was on the bill, but then Jise and D-Story are on stage and all of a sudden we have a full Arsonists reunion! We also saw Tame One and El Da Sensei do separate sets, no Artifacts reunion this year. Brooklyn Academy came through, PH and Mr. Met represented as always, doing that BK is. Double Barrel, Sky Zoo, and Termanology all got it in. Akrobatic, drove all the way down from Bean Town and represented excellently. Sara K, Mala Reignz, DJ Chela, Reece Steele from the Female Rapper, were part of an all Female Cipher that got props from the crowd, they weren't ready for the woman to go in that hard. AG and the DITC movement were rocking the park. Tony Toca hit us with some official DJing, had the crowd hyped. Marley Marl, who starts spitting some ill writtens over his own productions was a treat and then Craig G goes in, jumps in the crowd and starts freestyling, he killed a punchline about a dude in a leather vest and the whole crowd was open. Boot Camp was in attendance, shoutouts to Steele, Evil Dee and 5ft Assasin. Soul Sonic Force (wow, classic material, live, and still, super duper official), Grand Master Caz speaks on it and does the Sugar Hill Diss-Mix in the rain, the international highlight was the Japanese dance squad, (note theses were only like 5 - 8 years old girls) and the smallest one was the illest! Ice-T and Coco, yes fellas Ice and Coco, he even spit a freestyle! Word has it EOW is doing and OG night and Ice is scheduled to appear(remeber DMC was just there and you probably missed it, stay tuned). Big Up Leah holding it down as stage manager as always, Sab and Legs, thanks for having us! Fabel another legend with the illest vest game ever, peep the pics. Bahamadia, elightening heads and flow-matic, it was a pleasure to see her doing her thing.
FAT JOE! Huh, did he just say, yes, special surprise guest Joey Crillz rolled through and beat it up! He went from Flow Joe to Lean Back and everything in between. KRS, Oh Man, wow. What happens when Joes self professed idol and hands down one of the greatest live performers, is spitting live in front of thousands, and Crazy Legs is breaking in the back while Fat Joe does ad-libs, holy sh*t! Its a wrap! The hinges are blown off and people are losing their minds! I'm sure some concert you may have paid for, in an arena with todays biggest stars is amazing to some, but that free, in the park, RSC celebration complete with Erik B jumping on stage is for me. That's what we hosted and were a part of, that's what we represent, Hip Hop.
After spending the day with the stars of yesterday and today we were off to see the stars of tomorrow. We rolled to EOW a little late since we were coming from Jers. But fam was already there holding it down, Big up Exxtra and Webb. We set off the night with some crazy freestyle. I mean, we were delirious, running on adrenaline and open to spit. The kings were def. on 10. We hosted for the first crop of artists of the night. I saw impressive showings by Prezzure and the Punisher Entertainment team, before turning over the reigns to Webbafied. Webb got on and we beat up a little EOW Crew and my favorite Brooklyn Nights. I thought my night was over, but as I tried to hightail it home, my homie from Loud.com John Public rolled through.
So for those of you who dont read these blasts. Loud.com is having a battle for $100,000 and they're coming to EOW next week, Agust 3rd to find new talent. So Vice and I did an interview for the site, check it out http://blogs.loud.com/news/
I also proceeded to freestyle for another ten minutes, five of which made it online.
All in all it was one of the longest days/nights Ive had in a longtime, well, probably since last RSC, but it was worth it as always. Thanks to the EOW fam Bong, None, Chunk and JJ Figs for holding it down.
Remember were doing our Free 8 Year Anniversary Outdoor Concert on Aug 23rd @ the East River Amphitheatre, and this Sunday Loud.com is in the spot.
