Heads like Ghetto Terrorist, Punisher Records, Lock Wise and Poppa Uce out of Philly have torn sh*t down on Sunday at EOW. The vets always show and prove, Sunday night we Walked Like an OG with Mental Supreme, got money with Kalil Kash, went through Brooklyn Nights with Webbafied and Blood Clotted a few heads with Marco.
The Dub showcase artist on Sunday was Kwest M.C.O.D.Y, an ill Detroit MC who showed NY some much appreciated skill. His album is on the street right now, so check for him, you'll definitely be feeling it if you're Hip Hop. The night was jammed packed with MC's, too many to name, but all furious with the flow and few like Majesty and Kurt Cadet who had words of encouragement to all aspiring artists. I feel proud when artists are inspired by our venue and it makes it all worthwhile when the movement is acknowledged.
The highlight for me was the last cipher of the night. Heads usually start clearing the room once it gets late, usually that's when the best sh*t happens, all the left over hunger spills out on the stage and heads beast out. Two Mc Challenge winners, Dirty Mac and Mongoose, joined by Vice, myself, ILL Answer, Kwest and JJ Figs went in on that "Millie" beat. I would expound, but if you weren't there, ahhh well...
