Another busy night in NYC with the Hip Hop Subway Series commencing again, followed by another great night at EODUB. If you happened to miss it here's what you should have been a part of:
The evening started off with EOWUK's own DJ Snips spinning exclusive tracks and beats. Solid Ground and Angel would be this evenings hosts which was a pleasant surprise. Combined with the smooth sounds of DJ Snips, the night had a real melodic tone happening. Zoo and Nonezeo always sound great together and it was nice rocking out with them.
After the intro we hit the streets to find out what was really good with our people. Spoken Word artist Kamikaze Picnic set the night off speaking about the nastiest rap sickness and you definitely missed it if you weren't there. Indescribable! Shouts to Kurt Cadet doing his new song 110% and also Hydro with his banger Fly.
I have to always thank the fellas but the ladies were in full force this Sunday. They were shooting flicks (Amy), rhyming (LMNOP), bar tending (Sharon), managing artists (Deja), supporting (mad chicks) and debuting at the dub for the first time, long time supporter, rocking her new song Get it Together was our girl Alicia. Watch out fellas the ladies were going in!
I will say this was a day that had everyone from all over the place reppin their cities. Flex Matthews came up from DC and went super hard body on his set. He definitely gave one to the lyric listeners and did his last joint all acapella! Then he even offered everyone the opportunity to rock in DC and just opened the networking gates!
Taka came straight out of Japan beat boxing something serious. Fish Grease had Long Island on the map with style and even on a light night, the Bronx, Brooklyn, Queens and many other places were repping their cities. Not to be forgotten was Kalil Kash reppin Jersey properly with his new single Bang and Upstate NY's own Ryze's question, What is a Goon to a Goblin? Not sure where this next artist was from, but we know he repped F.M.F heavy! JAY-O was full of energy and he went in on his single Do my Thing, so we called him up later to do another joint called Microphone.
Liquor was popping, beats were flowing, and another night at the Dub came and ended. You should have been there!
