As the temperature rises the dub gets hotter!. This past Sunday was yet another example of hip-hop at it's most pure!. before I start this recap, let me just say/typ[e that the crowd at EOW every Sunday is what makes the show sooo amazing! We would be nothing without yall. Thanks!!!
So i arrive at the the venue at the our usual 7:30 meeting time and as i approach the Pyramid i already see 15 people on line! The gates are still down and Fuse 100, Aliosha, Tru knowledge, Lefty and a bunch of other cats are already in front freestlyin...word!
Handle the meeting: CHECK
Get booster/piffed: CHECK
Set up the Sound/mic: CHECK 1, 2, 1, 2
At this point there are about 75-100 people ready to get into the the venue. Before the show DJ V.dot Richie laces the crowd with some new exclusives as we count the merchandise Note: Make sure you cop The New Eodub Royal blue tee!! Its fire!
The Intro: We started with 2/3 of the Kings as ProPanye was handling some Dub Business. Vice & Zoo Blacked out!!! Big Zoo hit the crowd with the classic Re-make "ZOO Shot ya" Then after about 10 mins of Back-n-forth Madness Propayne Jumped on Stage and absolutely Bodied it. letting the crowd know that 3K was at full strength! WE THE BEST!!!!
The Aficionados: The Mic opened up and and first up was Fuse 100. he was one of the first people there and it was worth the wait. He started the show like it should be done! Salute! The Young Dude TRu Knowledge from OZ ent never ceases to entertain. His energy level is comparable to Busta Rhymes! TRU-story. This dude is somebody to watch for! (Vice Verses co-sign). Marco Polo did his numbers as usual...with the DIE NIGGA joint. Kill the nigga in you!!! New member of the inner circle John Public stepped on stage and Says "my bad yall this joint ima perform has the vocals in". Note: We at EODUb would appreciate if yall would make a TV track to spit ya song instead of rocking over the song. NO LIP SYNCING...lol So Pro ask John to do the first verse of the song then V.dot is gonna throw on an instrumental that was perfect for him to finish with no other vocals..Poof! Richie & John didn't blink and it turned into one of the highlights of the night! Pro again went into his bag of tricks when he gave the power of freestyle to an MC who was having alil trouble flowing offf the top. He pointed the EOW wood carved ring at him and Ala Kazam....HE STARED killing it!. I can't make this stuff up!. Shout out to "GOOD WOOD"
Dance hall Extravaganza: We at E-O-dub pride ourselves on the diverse-city in which we live. Sooooo when we saw our resident Chat masters in the building we called them all up at once and turned the Pyramid into Reggae club.. First Izreal hit the stage with a banger, Then our home girl and new comer Sky blasted off, finally it was Juggla & Izreal doin a crazy back-n-forth routine. Big UP OZ entertainment again!!! Hey hey He-he hay!!!
The Showcases: EODUB's Strongest female award winner Sara Kana absolutely destroyed her set!!!!! She had the Whole R.E>M by her side and she showed why most people can't come close to her when it comes to controlling a crowd!..The song "POP Pussy" was off the chain as she proclaimed "I love Sex". She brought out Jess Jame & Poison Pen to give an ode to the The B-boy/Girls. it was crazy!. SK had the pyramid going bananas!!!...she is the illest!
Next up was Akir. He's been down with us from day one so it was only right that he shared some joints from his new mix tape at the dub. Now, because he was "at home" Akir partook in the libations heavy! lol He went through snippet of song after song....each one iller then the next. for the finale he brought out Immortal Technique to perform the inspirational classic "ONE. then as a bonus. Swave Sever and Poison Pen went verse for verse along side Technique and Akir. theses Dudes travel the world and sell alotta records. so for them to lace the dub for the love is truly an honor! salute!
Last night was also the Legendary DMC's Born day. Last Sunday he Bodied it at the Dub with the classics "Walk this Way" Here We Go" & "Beat to the Rhyme". If you missed it you can cath the footage right now on www.eodub.com.
