3 kings took the night off after a monumental MC Challenge Sunday. The replacment killers for the evening, Jess James, Ill Answer and Kay-M, all came out gunning. The trio warmed up the End of the weak crowd with quotables galore. Kay-M told us why he's a made man, "I'm the preacher at the podium, I won't get gassed, I ain't made of petroloium." Jess followed up with the filth "these broads ask me to cut they need good lovin', they call me hack saw when my jimmy dug in." Lol.
There was a mess of talent in the house. I heard a bunch of songs that sounded fresh, clean and polished. Status rocked a industry ready joint about the ladies looking right, True knoledge dropped a smooth joint that was fire. Dirty Mac took the stage spit hard, and got a great response. Ryze topped it all off wit that drunk driving theme music, crazy double time flow.
Those MC's who continuously ripp the open mic step up to the next level, The showcase. This night LaRue from Burn U movement was that dude. LaRue recently killed it in the EOW Team Challenge with his crew. Tonite was his night to get some burn. Good stage presesnce, catchy hooks and a easy flow, LaRue did his thing. Big up to Jersey!
