Rock The Bells was poppin but it didn't stop EOW from rockin'!! Another entertaining night at the dub hosted by the ladies of A.SK. Before the ladies set it off there was some serious spinning done by resident DJ Callabrass that started a dance filled evening. If you were there, you would have witnessed him and the ladies breaking down their best 80's & 90's dances and stances!
A quick cypher from the ladies and the night was on its way. Ms. Shira, first up, set the performance level high and everyone knew after that to bring their A game. Sticking with our dance theme, Aliosha brought mega energy to a new single and Yung Spaz went in over some hard beats. The night was already looking great and the Ryze bodied hit joint Goon to a Goblin. Eow's resident host Vice Verses killed a dance track and then Hydro followed with one as well!! There must have been something in the air because EOW was really moving.
Now this next great moment that deserves mentioning was the family block of OZ Ent.’s own True Knowledge, Israyl, and then OX! And we hadn't even made it a quarter of our way through the evening. Next up with her debut appearance at EOW was Suga! She definitely had the audience mesmerized and it was a good way to get the crowd paying attention to our first showcase.
Split Personality came through mad deep and bodied it in English and Spanish! He's has great flow, nice cadence, dope production, and good songs. He gave a really hot show and heads should look forward to hopefully seeing more of this guy! Buy his album!! Good stuff!
A couple of quick shouts to LZ the Reason and Rob Wadda for bringing great songs. Also to Access, Jermaine, and the dead poets for goin hard at the end of the night. Last but not least our final showcase, who came from Rock the Bells and still managed to rock at the dub, Quest Mcody!
Wow, that’s major dedication after all that heat and madness to still be able to go in! A little technical difficulty with a show track didn't stop this guy from boding his showcase. A couple songs rockin with Cali and a few freestyles later and the crowd would have never known. That is a great example of a true MC when you can over come adversity, only to end up respected and more liked. Quest is EOW family so you will definitely being seeing more from this MC.
Another night came and gone. We showed up, we rocked, we bodied it, we drank, we danced, and we had fun WE ODUB!!!!!
