End Of the Weak Re:Cap Jan. 18th, 2009

As snow accumulated on the pavement, MC's from all over the TriState Area waited in line for their chance to rock at the World Famous EO Dub Open Mic.

There were a lot of new faces in the crowd and tons of new names on the sign up list. DJ Vinyl Richie went in early, banging out mad exclusives and classic Biggie joints.

By the time The 3 Kings hit the stage my man, Flev from Paris, had his MPC plugged in and got it popping. He blessed the hosts with all original production and Dj Vinyl Richie kept throwing them heat rock instrumentals. As usual, their opening warm up set was Crack Agua!

We had a great turnout, so the energy in the building was off the meter. The nasty weather had no effect on NYC's real Hip Hop heads. I even heard there was a crazy snowball fight going on in front of the club.

The Open Mic was dope: The Doppelgangaz were very impressive, Bangaz Only came through and killed it and we had outstanding performances from EOW Vets: Swave Sevah, Marco Polo, Kahlil Kash and Final Outlaw.

The first showcase of the night was my man Emilio Rojas. He came through and performed some of his new material. Be on the look out for this young man in the 09.

The second showcase were my boys, Chester Green, out of MASS. Blake C and Young Hi always come with high energy performances. It was great having them back at the DUB.

There were mad ladies in the building, alot of new Emcees, and I even spotted a few underground legends.

It was a great look for Hip Hop.
