"Me, Preto Speed and MC Cachola (the rap group "Seleção Natural" [Natural Selection] and the EOW Brasil team)participated in a discussion on improvisation and the EOW Championships. More specifically regarding urban rhyme and rural rhyme (local folk music), disposing of the presence of traditional troubadours of the culture from Rio Grande do Sul, southern region which we survive in the brasil.
It was an amazing experience , since in the events of ballad there are similar rules to a EOW MC Challenge.
Therefore we were invited to explain the EOW MC Challenge, and demonstrate similarities and differences in these 2 musical styles. It was very interesting and a great apprenticeship for us, since we were joined with persons who have been rhyming for more than 50 years.
In one month we will be going to the centre of Battle of Ballad from Rio Grande do Sul to challenge the local troubadours!We are studying their rules. I am going to write the rules so that you can all see that it is very much the same. peace4 all"
